Family means nothing

Born the runt, Ash was abandoned by his mother and brothers, being left with nothing and no one,  after finding an old rusty Cleaver, Ash decides to make his family suffer like he did.


A Classic Fable turned bloodbath

"Bloody Feathers' story is inspired by the classic children's tale "The Ugly Duckling", however it does not follow the typical children's stories "happy ending and moral lesson" formula.

Even in a fantasy setting, this story is much more grounded, taking a more dramatic and realistic approach to subjects such as abandonment and bullying, this story is one of sadness, rage, pursuit and revenge.


Key Features

"Bloody Feathers" is mainly a combat game in a top-down view, taking different elements from some of my favorite games, which include things such as a dodge mechanic, item pickups, exploration and lore.


World

“Bloody Feathers” is set in a fantasy/fable/medieval world called Tera, where after a strange cosmic event, both humans and animals became mutated over time, gaining incredible abilities, changing the way the world functions.

I thank everyone who takes a minute of their time to try out my small game, I will not be developing it any further, as I now enter a much busier phase of my life, and move on to other projects, however, all and any feedback is greatly appreciated, and is the best way to improve and evolve as an Indie Developer, have fun!

Important Information

"Bloody Feathers" is a student project, developed entirely in an academic context, no monetary gain is to be made from it.

This is also my first time developing a game all by myself, as my only experience before this, was a simple 2d Arena Shooter, developed by me and 3 other students.

With that said, there was a lot of effort put into this very small game, as I tried to write as much quality World Building as I could, and make as many original assets as possible, despite having 0 experience with pixel art and animating, knowing that composing a good Soundtrack is hard, and accepting that I had a tight deadline to follow for the release of this project, and so, a huge content cut had to be made in order to even be able to release a stable version of "Bloody Feathers".
